@KitLewis asked how I remember which beat is which b/c I number them. I used to name them random names and then when a song was made to it and titled something different I sometimes couldn’t remember the beat name if I needed to track it out and send it to someone.  

I started to label each beat by number and I put them in folders by month. Beat 1 starts in January of a new year and it goes up until the end of the year, then I start a new 2012, 2013, etc. folder. 

It works out better for me b/c I can remember when I made the beat and just go in that monthly folder and find it usually within in a few clicks instead of going through a huge folder with 100s of beats in it named random stuff. 

I do the same thing with songs I want to sample and the Ableton sets as well.
