I know I posted this yesterday from my phone, but I wanted to explain the set up.
The Sony Vaio is running Ableton Live 8. This is my “practice” setup, so I am just using the MPD 18 and the Novation Launch Pad. For the shows, I use the APC 40, MPD 18 and a M-Audio Axiom 25 or LPK 25, just depends what I want to carry in a venue. This compute also runs all the loops, samples, keyboards, etc. through set I have been adding to for 6 months now.
The Macbook is also running Live 8, but this one is for our vocals. I have created some vocal racks that include a couple of different delays, reverb, flange, distortion, chorus, etc. and these can be turn on/off from keyboard shortcuts. We are eventually going to add a midi foot pedal to control all the vocal chains on stage.
So yeah, that is part of The Nasty’s set up…
